Popa and Surroundings အနုပညာမြိုင်ရဲ့ ရှုမောဖွယ်ဝန်းကျင်

ပုပ္ပါးဝန်းကျင်ဟာ လွန်ခဲ့တဲ့နှစ်သန်းပေါင်း ၄ သန်းကတည်းက တခြားတောတွေနဲ့ အဆက်ပြတ်သွားခဲ့တဲ့ သီးခြားတောလိုဖြစ်နေပါတယ်။ သူ့မှာ ဇီဝမျိုးကွဲစုံတစ်ချို့ဟာ တခြားနေရာနဲ့ မတူပဲလည်း ဖြစ်နေပါတယ်။ မှတ်တမ်းမတင်ရသေးတဲ့ ပရိုင်းမိတ်မျိုးစိတ်သစ်တစ်ခုကို ကမ္ဘာ့သိပ္ပံပညာရှင်တွေက ရှာတွေ့ခဲ့ပြီး ၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ်မှာပဲ အတည်ပြု ကြေငြာခဲ့ပါတယ်။

The forest of Mount Popa play a major role in the history, culture, and art of Myanmar. The volcano, rising over 1000 metres out of a nearly flat plains, forms an ecological niche. Many species of birds, bats, and flowers flourish in the coolness of its slopes. Seven microclimates are found around and inside the volcano.

The last eruption of Mount Popa resulted in an implosion that blasted away one side of the mountain about 8000 years ago. It is technically not extinct, but there is no measurable volcanic activity. နတ်တို့စံပျော်ရာလို့ပြောတဲ့ ပုပ္ပါးတောင်ကလပ်နဲ့ တောင်မကြီးဟာ ထူးခြားတဲ့ယဉ်ကျေးမှုပေါက်ဖွားရာ ဖြစ်သလို ပုဂံရဲ့သမိုင်းရာဇဝင်နဲ့ စဉ်ဆက်မပြတ် ဆက်နွယ်နေပါတယ်။ ရှေးအကျဆုံးကဗျာအဖွဲ့ဟာ ပုပ္ပါးတောင်အဖွဲ့ပါ။ ရွှေနှင့်ယိုးမှား ပန်းစကားပါ။ ပုပ္ပါးတောင်ဝန်းကျင်မှာ မှီတင်းနေထိုင်ကြတဲ့ကျေးရွာပေါင်း ၄၀ ကျော်ရှိပါတယ်။ ဆည်ပေါက်၊ ညောင်ကန်ဆိုတဲ့ ရွာနှစ်ရွာဟာလည်း ပုပ္ပါးတောင်ခြေက ရွာနှစ်ရွာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Popa is said to be home of the nat spirits. Between the mountain and Kyaukpadaung is Taung Kalat, a steep lava formation now decked with pagodas. It figures in old poetry and the history of Pagan. Popa village is near Taung Kalat, and 40 other villages surround the mountain. Of them, Hse-bauk is the nearest to Popa Art Resort.

အနီးမှာရှေးခေတ်ကျောက်ခေတ်လူတွေ ဆားချက်ခဲ့တဲ့နေရာ ဆားကျင်းဘုရားနဲ့ မယ်သက်ခိုင်ကန်ရှိပါတယ်။ နှစ်ရာနဲ့ချီခဲ့တဲ့ မန်ကျည်းတောကြီးဟာ နွေရာသီကလွဲလို့ အုပ်ဆိုင်းမြင့်မားတဲ့၊ အေးမြတဲ့နေရာပါ။

The villages have many pleasant places to visit. Salt was produced in some of the villages in pre-historic times, and there is still a pagoda called ‘Salt Mine Pagoda’. Great stands of tamarind trees shade parts of the area.

မကြာခင်မှာ Geo Park ဘူမိဗေဒဥယျာဉ်တစ်ခုကို ရှေးသံခေတ်က သံဖိုတွေတွေ့ရှိတဲ့ သံဖိုရွာအနီးမှာ တည်ဆောက်ဖို့ မျှော်မှန်းထားကြပါတယ်။ အင်ကြင်းကျောက်လို့ အရပ်ခေါ်ခေါ်ကြတဲ့ ရှေးသစ်ပင်မျိုးစုံရဲ့ ကျောက်ဖြစ်ရုပ်ကြွင်းတွေ တွေ့နိုင်ပါတယ်။

A Geo Park is planned, which will featured petrified wood among other finds. In addition, excavations from the Iron Age are expected. One village is called ‘Iron Forge Village’, and may have remnants of ancient settlements.

အညာဒေသရဲ့ ထွက်ကုန်မျိုးစုံကို ဈေးလယ်ရင် လေ့လာနိုင်လို ရှင်သန်နေတဲ့လူနေမှုကို ယဉ်ကျေးမှုတစ်ခုလို ခံစားကြည့်ရှုနိုင်ပါတယ်။ ရွာတွေကိုလယ်ရတာလည်း ပျော်စရာကောင်းလွန်းလှပါတယ်။ ဆည်ပေါက်၊ ညောင်ကန်ဆိုတာလည်း ပန်းမျိုးစုံစိုက်ပျိုးကြတဲ့ ပန်းဥယျဉ်ကြီးပါ။

The markets of the area have many local goods, including cotton cloth, blacksmith’s wares, delicious sesame and other local produce, fresh flowers, and handmade household goods. Each village also has its own character and history.

ပုပ္ပါးအနုပညာမြိုင်ဟာ ပုပ္ပါးတောင်ခြေ၊ ဆည်ပေါက်ရွာ၊ ဆားကျင်းဘုရားအနီး၊ ပန်းထုပ်ချောင်းဘေး၊ မန်ကျည်းတောမှာရှိပါတယ်။ ဒီနေရာလေးကိုဗဟိုပြုပြီး ပုပ္ပါးအနီးတဝိုက်ကရှုခင်းသာတွေဆီ အလည်သွားလို့ရသလိုနဲ့ နာမည်ကျော်ကြက်မောက်တောင်ဆည်နဲ့ ပုဂံကိုလည်း သွားရောက်လည်ပတ်လို့ရပါတယ်။

From Popa Art Resort there are views of Mount Popa, and gardens to relax in. There are many short and long walks nearby.

Popa Art Resort, true to its name, also has a collection of paintings in a range of styles and periods, a poetry grove, graphic arts such as movie posters and old advertisements, and various items from history of printing.
